Fees vary, depending on the type of passport you require. You need to pay the correct fee for your passport in the local currency.

The fees are shown in Pounds Sterling (£) and in Nepalese Currency (NRS) are correct as of 3 September 2009.  These prices are subject to change without notice. Currently: £1=NRS. 130.00

Methods of payment

All fees must be in cash in Nepalese Rupees at the time the application is made. 

New Credit Card Payment Option for Consular Section:

If you are applying for Passports and/or other Consular Services, you can now also pay by credit card.

The cards we accept are Visa and Mastercard credit cards. We are unable to process Maestro cards, American Express, Diners Club or any Austrian Bank Cards (Bankomatkarten).

Additional fees

There is a call out fee for issuing a temporary or emergency passport outside of office hours.  You will need to add this fee to the cost of the passport
